Every day is a special day at Zion Early Childhood Center, however, some days are extra-special! We begin in the Fall with "color" days, and progress through the year enjoying "M&M" day, jelly bean day, quilt day, wacky Wednesday, and many more!

FIELD TRIPS

Some of our fun adventures include a neighborhood walk, visiting a pizzeria, the Fire Department, the Tinley Park Public Library, McDonald's, a farm, and Exploration Station.

SPECIAL GUESTS

We invite lots of special guests into our classrooms each year. Some that come every year are the Tinley Park Firefighters, guest readers and guest musicians.

PARTIES

Twice each year we have planned parties. The parties are planned and carried out by parent volunteers with the help, guidance, and support of the staff. School supplies (such as construction paper, glue, crayons, etc.) are also available for parties. All parents are welcome to attend party planning meetings held 3 to 4 weeks prior to the party.

Each Halloween Party is open to the entire family. There is no school on the day of the Halloween Party. All Halloween Parties will begin 1 hour later than the usual class time. 4 Year Old classes will hold their Halloween Parties in the Zion Center. 3 Year Old classes will hold their Halloween Parties in the Early Childhood Center classroom.

On the day of the Valentine's Party, students come to school at the regular time.

All children's birthdays are celebrated in school. Your child will be scheduled to bring a snack on his/her birthday. Summer birthdays will be celebrated at a chosen time during the year, hopefully close to the child's half-birthday.
